The BBEG from Xiro Myth.
He has gone through a tonne of variations on his design, but has been getting more and more steady between changes.
This was done maybe August/September, but I managed to forget that I haven’t posted it anywhere.
I have done several pieces in the past involving the W-lolth tanks, all of the designs have been relatively similar, but I’m the type of person who needs to revamp things on a regular basis. XD
They are one of the several insect based machinery from Eclipsis. Although I haven’t designed the others, since they have yet to come into the story. I should design a few soon-ish, since I am coming to a point in the comic where these are flown into the town.

Chowli would definitely be completely blind. He was born without eyeballs in his sockets, which made him quite a creepy kid. So creepy in fact that he was given up by his parents and raised in a temple.
He kept to himself a lot, but as he got older he interacted with people more often, and that was the catalyst of his visions.
Usually minor things that were not noticeable, to do with his or their daily life. But the more someone was tied into something important, the stronger the vision became.
He quickly gained a reputation for his visions, and got named a Prophet.
He has enough control on his visions now to be able to tell if he is going to run into something, or if something is going to hit him. It more or less allows him to place himself at the right place at the right time.
In this image I decided to show what started as a joke about how when he has a vision he “explodes with light” to where he’d make a good movie projector. (Last image of him with a light show http://kilara.deviantart.com/art/Chronos-Rapture-67672756)
But to be honest I kind of like the idea that if he was facing something reasonable in a dark area, others would be able to see what the vision is through the projection. I dunno, it could be seen as silly, but I’m gonna roll with it till I find a full fault. XD
XM Preview
Thought it would be a nice idea to post a preview of the first 2 pages, and a possibly going to be replaced cover above. I am going over idea possibilities for the imagery of the cover instead of a girl strung up on a contraption.
Kyronis
A country that is sharing borders with the Amskatch and the Territory of the Taleans. All of the rocky hills and mountains, mixed with harsh winters, Kyronis is not known to be a soft country.
The main things Kyronis is known for are the Dragons claws; a geographical formation that resembles the appearance of claws dug into the land. There are also spires in the water that further suggest the appearance of something massive having fallen into the water.
Legends suggest the lands of Kyronis were built onto the backs of great giant dragons called Odroth, and some people believe the dragon’s claws are from them trying to climb back up.
Kyronis is also known for the rich deposits of ore, giving them a great tactical standpoint, and a reputation of being unbeatable in combat.
They royal family in Kyronis is from a long line of red haired warriors. The King is a very tall and handsome man, he is known to be very generous man, but he also has the nickname “Nine tailed demon” from battles past. Years ago he used to have an elegant wife that was known to be an incredible beauty. He loved her to no end, and he doted over her.
She passed away from a mysterious illness, leaving him to raise their daughter alone.
There are people who believe that the Queen was a Rakekk, and that the king wears her pelt to honour her.
He prefers not to talk about it.
The princess is not a rambunctious girl, nor rebellious. She is quiet but has a great knack for tactics. She has already shown interest in a Pirios knight to be, named Marcus.
There are 2 types of knights in Kyronis, a type based on each of the Twin deities Pirios and Sinandri; the deities of day and night, yin and yang, balance.
The Pirios Knights are knights of the castle, clad in silver amour with a feathered wing as their shield. They are known as prestigious and noble.
The Sinandri Knights are those who travel the country side near the Amskatch and the Talean Territory to keep the roads safe.
Yes his hair is very grass like, it is a Pandoran trait for them to have plants instead of hair.
The seeds are planted on them when they are old enough to take care of them, and they become a symbiotic relationship, allowing the pandoran to survive severe desert weather and do very well in extreme sunlight.
Each family uses a different type of plant, Ceejeh’s family uses grasses.
And due to their likeness, I have started calling their young Chias as in the chia pets.

I felt like going into more detail about the XM crew, but this one is a sketch of a minor character who has been around for at least 8 years.
Professor Kennith
He is the right wing man to a certain Long Haired Individual responsible for the events that become the catalyst to the beginning of my story.
After the loss of his family he has devoted his life in the service, and in return his charge artificially extended his life with the aid of tech and magic.
He is the creator of the Orix (previously described here) A collection of humanoid specimens made from the fragments of an Amsk. But before he attempted to make the Orix he made other things, things that were mindless, gruesome, and more akin to the Amsk swarm than anything human.
They functioned along the same lines of an amsk, he’d only need to broadcast the instructions to one of them, and the message would spread to all of those in the area. This was an awesome idea, at least at first before he noticed that Amsk themselves could inadvertently broadcast their instructions to them. Being as their coloured signals were more powerful than the grey of his programming.
Thus is one of the reasons he created the Orix, a collection of people who could directly connect to the soldiers and keep a better connection. Kennith has studied the colours, and keyed each girl to a different colour. As each soldier is controlled by a girl, it will resonate with that girl’s hue. Another interesting effect was that the crystalline based weapons would alter form based on the girl’s preferred method of combat. From swords, shields, to projectiles and traps.
The Orix are sentient and more human-like than their Amsk heritage. They even built a connection with Kennith, seeing him as a mother/father position. Due to the loss of his family, and their dependence on him, he has become rather protective of them.

I have drawn Kennith a few times through the years since, but never anything worth colouring. On the other hand I have drawn the Soldiers a lot more.

Got rid of the codpiece and made the figure a lot less gender specific, maybe leaning towards female.
Map of doom!
So in a fever of not having luck thumbing out a 4th new into page for XM (I have 20 pages done, just bumping the creation myth out of the beginning) I decided to update the map of XM’s world, as I had been meaning to for a long while now.
The names are kind of tentative for some areas, as I have not fully decided on if I want them to stay that way. Mainly the territory and the lower most areas.

This was an interesting and difficult thing to answer, since Ty is not technically a part of XM.
I do -on the other hand- have a cameo of her in XM.
She appears as one of the Orix, an attempt to revive the Ilumarans through using Amsk DNA with human and Ilumaran. Tylene, or as I endearingly call her, Ty-bot was the first of the Orix created, I included Relic the 2nd and Kilara the 3rd.
More than one was created because their father didn’t realize that mixing Amsk into things lead them to be very aggressive, so much so that any attempts on making a male failed before he could do anything about it.
Tylene also turned out aggressive, and highly emotionally unstable, so after a big failure on her part she removed her own arms and legs with her face. To try to fix that issue her father made Relic without the aggression, and she ended up very emotionally cold. Kilara is an attempt at finding balance, but she got tainted by her trip to the surface.
None of the Orix are successful in being what they were intended to be, so their father is working on the 4th and 5th Orix.

Ty Mencen’s biggest hit gone wrong was one that made her retire and become the mayor of the town her hit was in.
Ty-bot’s big failure was a test drive of a W-Lolth in which she ended up blowing up a lot of really rare and expensive equipment.
